Homestay Info: Manayath Heritage home stay is situated at Chellarkovil village, which is on the outskirts of the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (Thekkady), in the Idukki district of Kerala, S.India. This is only half an hour drive or 15kms. from the Periyar’s home town-Kumily.

The villa is a typical traditional Kerala house; wood thatched roof, beautifully carved and crafted doors, good ventilation, spacious sitout, clean and spacious modern bathroom. First built in 1860, this  traditional Kerala house offered to the guests is impeccably restored, easthetically furnished and well appointed with state of the art facilities.

The beautiful and  steep Tamilnadu valley on the south east forms a close back drop to our  property. Panoramic view of hills and  plains, a lovely cascade, sprawling spice plantations, high altitude paddy fields, bushes and cliffs, cloud -clad peaks, unending chains of hills of the Western Ghats etc. are the natural attractions here.
