Having garnered considerable expertise and experience in the retail niche with the Coffee Day chain and our other retail formats, ABC has made a foray into the hospitality sector, with Coffee Day Hotels & Resorts. The first brand of this subsidiary of ABC, is The Serai. The first of our properties under this umbrella brand - The Serai, Chikmagalur - was launched in April 2008. The Serai, Chikamagalur, is set amidst verdant coffee plantations, and provides world class luxury to discerning guests. Whilst this property is fully functional, on the anvil is a chain of luxury resorts.

To provide travel and holiday options, as well as The Serai experience, to a larger audience, we acquired Cicada Resorts - with resorts in Kabini and Bandipur - in December 2008.
