Kalmatia Sangam Himalaya Resort (KaSa), set 9km above Almora town and 10km from Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary in the Kumaon hills (Uttarakhand), offers one of the best accommodations in Uttaranchal, as well as a charming restaurant serving excellent and varied cuisine.

All 10 cottages/rooms have Himalayan view. The rooms are all different, interiors,sizes, décor tastefully and elegantly done. Some are suites, and in some rooms the bed and living area are on different levels. All rooms and bathrooms have modern amenities. The basic differences are in architecture and interiors.

We can host special programmes and cultural events, or varied workshops with spaces both indoor and outside – also for yoga and meditation groups , and individuals. Our priority is attention to detail in order to make our guests feel warmly welcome and cared for.

Kumaon is situated between Garhwal to the west and Nepal to the east, offering extensive possibilities of connecting itineraries, either towards Western Nepal and its national parks or Garhwals holy places.

Kumaon towered over by the most beautiful mountains of the Indian Himalaya offers a totally natural environment where forests and wildlife have still to unfold their mysteries. Being one of the oldest pilgrim routes to holy Mount Kailash and a major trade link to Tibet, local religious customs and ancient traditions are still alive here. Kumaon has

architctural and archeological wonders: Jageshwar temples, Katarmal Sun temple (one of few in India after Konarak), prehistoric rock art, charming local villages set amongst green terraces and many more secrets to discover.

 Almora has been the first British hill station established in 1815. Till today we still have an interesting blend of British colonial and Kumaoni architecture. This can be seen in the various estates in the area, and several buildings in Almora town.
